This large, professional-grade Rouge Cloth is impregnated with Jewellers Rouge; a compound that cleans and removes tarnish while also imparting a protective layer to your jewellery. The cloth is a high-quality, soft cotton cloth that will not scratch your precious metals, even when used with fine scratches.
Karlea is a big fan of this item – she keeps it in her purse and uses it whenever she needs to keep her silver sparkling clean. It also works well on her oxidized pieces and on vintage silver rings and watches. She does not use it to clean chain link bracelets as they would likely be scratched by the Rouge.
Can I use this on white gold?
Yes, the rouge cloth will help to polish out any light scratches on your white gold jewellery. However, it is important to note that there are 2 types of white gold – rhodium plated and non plated – and so it may be helpful to know which type your jewellery is before using this product. Older white gold pieces are more likely to be rhodium plated, while newer ones are more likely to be non plated.
